364/20 answers the questions of the media regarding the dissemination of calls by Armenian users of social networks for terror against Azerbaijani diplomats
Answer: It is observed recently that life-threatening calls against Azerbaijani and Turkish diplomats acting in different countries of the world are widely spread by Armenian users on social media.
This, once again, is the manifestation of the terrorist traits of radical Armenian forces. We would like to note regretfully that terrorism used by Armenian radical groups throughout history is supported even at the state level in Armenia. It is well known to everyone that ASALA and other Armenian terrorist organizations committed more than 235 terrorist acts in 22 countries of the world in 1970-1980s, including the killing of 24 Turkish diplomats. In the early 1990s, Armenia widely used terrorist means in various places of our country in the process of occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and 7 surrounding regions.
We have witnessed the perpetration of extremely aggressive actions and crimes of hatred on the ground against members of the local Azerbaijani community, as well as our diplomats by the radical Armenian forces in the foreign countries, also as a result of the provocation resorted to by the Armenian armed forces in July of this year on Azerbaijan-Armenia border.
We have witnessed extremely aggressive actions and hate crimes committed by radical Armenian forces in foreign countries against members of local Azerbaijani communities, as well as against our diplomats and as a result of a provocation by the Armenian armed forces in July this year on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
We resolutely condemn the spread of messages full of threat against diplomats of Azerbaijan and Turkey by the Armenian radical elements, as well as calls for killing them.
It is clear that upon the Vienna Convention about Diplomatic Relations adopted in 1961, the prevention of any attack against a diplomat, his personality, freedom, and honor is the responsibility of the host country. In this regard, on our part, the appropriate requests will be made for undertaking measures to strengthen the security and safety of our diplomats in foreign countries.
